Welcome to the UFCW Local 1996 family. Our union is the largest local union in the southeastern United States, representing workers with 34 collective bargaining agreements at 23 companies across multiple locations and industries.

We are proud to provide our membership with the resources, expertise, experience, and dedication to represent members in the workplace. Being a part of the union and having a collective bargaining agreement is an important right and protection for workers.

We hope that you will have the opportunity to read your contract. It is important to understand your benefits and the established rights you have working under your contract. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your union representative.

If you are not yet a member, we would love to help you become a part of the UFCW family.

Do You Need a Union in Your Workplace?

If you and your coworkers are ready to negotiate together for bigger paychecks, stronger benefits, and better lives, we are ready to help. UFCW Local 1996 represents workers in grocery and retail stores, meatpacking, food processing, healthcare, manufacturing facilities, and other industries.
